Festival Trials Day Saturday at Cheltenham Racecourse is one of the most informative meetings of the entire National Hunt season, featuring an eight-race card made up exclusively of Cheltenham Festival trials. With a strong mix of Grade 2 races, Premier Handicaps and competitive staying contests across hurdles and steeple chases, the meeting provides punters and racing fans with vital clues ahead of March.
The card includes key trials such as the Cotswold Chase, a major pointer towards the Cheltenham Gold Cup, the Cleeve Hurdle for leading Stayers’ Hurdle contenders, and the Triumph Trial Juvenile Hurdle for the Festival’s top four-year-olds. Alongside these championship routes, competitive handicap chases, novice hurdles, and the Glenfarclas Cross Country Chase add further depth, making Festival Trials Day Saturday an essential stop on the road to the Cheltenham Festival.
